Move-Outs

Please read the following information regarding move-outs.


  1. All keys must be returned to our office at Amberson Gardens at 4 Bayard Road Unit 1. The keys must be in an envelope with your name and current address on the envelope. Next, tenants must fill out this form and place in an envelope so that we can process your security deposit: Move Out Form
  2. Security deposits will be sent as a check in the mail within 30 days after your lease end date.
  3. If you return your keys after hours, they can be placed in the Drop Box outside of the office door at 4 Bayard Road. Keys cannot be left in your apartment or in the garage if you live at Schenley Properties. We may not receive them which could complicate the return of your security deposit.
  4. If you had a parking spot in a Meyers Management garage, you must return the garage remote with your keys or you will be charged for the remote.
  5. Please make sure to leave your apartment in a broom swept condition free of damages if you wish to receive your full security deposit (minus the automatic cleaning charges).
  6. You cannot leave any furniture or other items in your apartment. If you do, you will be charged a removal fee.
  7. Furniture items that do not fit in the dumpster must be disposed of properly and may not be left in front of the dumpsters. Tenants must make arrangements with a disposal company (at the cost of the tenant) to properly dispose of items.
  8. Tenants who are caught dumping or leaving large items will incur additional deductions from their security deposit.
  9. Mail Forwarding: Make sure to forward your mail to your new address through the post office: https://www.usps.com/manage/forward.htm
